December has been a very busy and successful month of basketball tournaments for our JV & Varsity teams. Congrats to the LCS Varsity Boys for winning the Madrid Waddington tournament, Girls JV & Varsity teams for winning the Heuvelton Tournaments, and JV Girls for being victorious in the Canton & OFA tournaments.
Tournament time will continue as the JV & Varsity boys will host the James Darcy Tournament on January 2nd & 4th! Keep working hard! Go Knights!

Congratulations Allison Bell on reaching her Section X Varsity Basketball Career 1000 points! Allison received her 1000 point ball and LCS Circle tonight in our opening home game vs Morristown. Allison joins a very distinguished list of Section X
athletes who have met this milestone during their varsity careers. Congratulations Allison!

Monday we celebrated our new State Champion Gretchen Braun! Gretchen is the 2024 NYSPHSAA Girls Swimming State Champion in the 100 Freestyle & the 100 Back stroke events! Gretchen was also recognized as the NYSPHSAA Outstanding Swimmer of the meet! Gretchen competed this season as a merger athlete with Canton! It's been a great experience and we are very thankful for all the support from her team and coaches! They won the Section X title, placed 15th as a team overall in the state, and competed in relays and other events at States. We held a Champion's parade, Gretchen got to Ring the Bell (twice!), and we recognized her accomplishments and achievements and presented her with her State Championship Certificate. We are so incredibly proud of Gretchen & all her accomplishments! Congratulations!!

Students in the After School Program visited the Seaway Visitor Center at Eisenhower Lock in Massena last week. They were lucky enough to catch a ship passing through the lock system!

This is a friendly reminder about Parent-Teacher Conferences today, 11/25, and tomorrow, 11/26 here at LCS. The Elementary conferences are by appointment starting at noon on both days. 7-12 conferences are from 6-8pm tonight in the big gym, no appointment needed. Please reach out if you have any questions.
