The second session of the North Country Art Teachers Association (NCATA) Art Scholars Program was held on February 9th at the SLC Arts Council in Potsdam. Our student artists worked with local artists Liza L.L. Paige and Ginny Burnett, exploring portrait techniques that combine charcoal and embroidery.
Students were selected for this program through a competitive application process that included artwork samples and artist statements. Their finished pieces will be featured in the NCATA Art Scholars Exhibit at the SLC Arts Council on May 14th.
We’re so proud of our talented artists for representing our school and learning alongside students from across the region!
