Lisbon Central School District voters approved the schools’ $17,249,863 proposed budget with 145 votes in favor, and 138 against.
The 2023-24 approved budget represents a 7.72% increase, or $1.2 million, over current spending. The approved budget requires a 1.78% tax levy increase, which is within the district's allowable tax levy cap. This approved budget will allow the district to focus on safety and security, staff retention, and transportation while maintaining high quality academic and extracurricular programs.
In addition to approving the district’s proposed budget, voters elected Eric Walker to serve a five- year term on the Lisbon Central School District’s Board of Education. Mr. Walker will begin serving his term on Wednesday, May 17.
