The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering "About Boating Safely". This course is required in New York State for anyone 14 years old and over who operates a personal watercraft (jet-ski). Boat operators born on or after May 1, 1996 and at least 10 years of age, must have a boating safety certificate.

WHY TAKE THIS CLASS?
The instructors are U.S.C.G. Auxiliarists with years of experience as boaters on local waters, teaching boating safety and interacting with students. Students will be able to see and check out various safety equipment items. Participants will receive the course textbook, Federal and State rulebooks to keep as references. Questions are answered before, during and after class. The certificate and laminated card will be presented at the end of the last class, and can be replaced, if lost or damaged. Students, faculty, staff, parents and members of the community may attend at $35.00 per person.
