The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has been authorized for use in individuals 5 years of age and older, and the Pfizer Booster Shot has been authorized for use in individuals 12 years of age and older.
No student in the Lisbon Central School District is required to receive a COVID-19 Vaccine, however, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the recommended quarantine and isolation periods for any given situation are determined by a variety of factors, including vaccination status. Per updated CDC and NYSDOH guidelines, if your child 12 years of age or older is eligible for a booster shot (5 months past their 2nd shot) they must receive the booster in order to be deemed “fully vaccinated.”
Currently, St. Lawrence County Public Health is hosting multiple vaccine clinics, including the following booster clinics:
- Monday, January 24th - Pfizer Booster (Ages 12+)
- Tuesday, January 25th - Moderna Booster (Ages 18+)
- Monday, January 31st - Pfizer Booster (Ages 12+)
For more information, we encourage you to visit the St. Lawrence County Public Health website. If you have any questions please feel free to call their office at (315) 386 2325 or visit stlawco.org.
