Dear Lisbon Central School community members,
As discussions have arisen regarding masking requirements through the media sharing comments made by the Governor and possibly catching the Governor's update on Friday, June 4th, it is important to stress to all district, students, families, faculty, staff, and administration that there currently are no changes to any mask wearing requirements at Lisbon Central School.
Until the New York State Health Department has confirmed communications with the CDC regarding their current recommendations of masking up, we will continue to require masks on our school campus at all times with the exception of when students are consuming snacks and meals during the day. The State Education Department has issued a memo reinforcing that there is no change in mask protocols until official notice from the Health Department or via an official Executive Order has been received.
If you have any questions regarding this please reach out.
Patrick J. Farrand
Superintendent of Schools
