Lisbon Central School District recently accepted delivery of four brand new state-of-the-art school buses from Leonard Bus Sales as part of the district’s school bus safety initiative that will ultimately transition the district to a fleet of new school buses run entirely in-house.
Please see the attached 2020-2021 School Calendar that labels our Cycle Days (1-6), Hybrid (Blue/Gold) and Remote Learning Days (all students attend school virtually and faculty & staff will attend LCS in person). This schedule is to support our students, faculty, staff, parents and guardians. Please note this is a fluid calendar and we hope that before the end of the school year there will not be a need for blue and gold hybrid days at the 7-12 grade levels.

We know that there may be questions about the 2020-2021 school year that may not be addressed in our previous updates. With this in mind, we will be holding a series of virtual and in-person town hall meetings to address questions and concerns. An informational session was held with all District staff via ZOOM on August 12th. Informational virtual town hall meetings will be held via Zoom and on our Facebook page with the community to share the reopening plan and answer questions about the plan. Note to LCS community: Our district was identified on a list released by the Governor's Office of those who had failed to submit reopening plans by the deadline; HOWEVER, we did in fact submit our plan by that deadline to both the DOH and SED. We have since re-submitted to clear up the error.

We have been informed that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to multiple cases in our district, and a high number of staff who have been identified as potential contacts, we will pivot to remote instruction for all UPK-12 students with an anticipated return on January 4.
